I have been wanting to make these since we lived with my mother-in-law, Lois, for one summer! I loved her dish scrubbie! I actually learned a lot of cleaning and laundry tips that I have incorporated into my routines! Anyway, I found a tutorial for a similar scrubbie, but I think I want to change it into a crochet pattern. That shouldn't be hard, right? Here's the link for the tutorial:

Here's the back view of our Home, the front is an old brick home that we added our cabin onto. Of course this picture is in the winter, and I will take a summer picture as soon as we get grass!

Wasn't this one a beauty? It was hard to do because the bonded batting was about 2 inches thick!

This is the quilt all Spread out. To make one this size, I used 2 1/2 yards on top and on the bottom. Different colors on the top and bottom look really good when you fringe the edges!

I like to customize the blankets with their name and a design! I use my Bernina Artista.

This is the detail of the quilting. I like this pattern the best for fleece blankets! I have also done hearts and flowers! My friend is having me do one for her grandson. He chose Transformer fleece, and I am trying to decide how to quilt that one! I won't fringe the end, but just crochet an edging on it.

I'm so excited for the first time in my life to have a "finished" sewing room! Wade and the kids are downstairs mudding and texturing, while I finish my BOM, and work on a cool Easter table runner. When I have time to figure it out, I will post pictures of these fun projects.

The beginning

Well here I am!  I have been quilting on my long arm for a year and a half now.  I have completed a jillion of my own quilts and ten jillion charity quilts!  Just when I was getting the ball rolling, we moved.  Our house was a build as you go deal, and my husband and son did most of the work!  Now, after months of waiting,  I have my own sewing room instead of a very small corner of the laundry room, with a wall busted out to fit my long arm!

Oh, and my name... I chose this name because our new house is a cabin.  In Spring Lake!  Easy enough!  As soon as I learn how, I will post a picture of our beautiful log cabin home!  And I will post some pictures of the projects that I have done, I am working on, or that I plan to do real soon!
